WHAT ARE MEMORY KEEPSAKE DOLLS AND MEMORY KEEPSAKE RESIN PIECES?
WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF ITEMS YOU CAN USE WITHIN JEWELLERY MEMORY ITEMS?
With the use of things such as -
Preserved wedding, funeral flowers, ceremony flowers we work with a beautiful local business called Bouquets Forever to preserve individual flowers and small posies ready to use within our pieces. This means your flowers are PROFESSIONALLY PRESERVED in a way to best hold colour and the only way to set non dried flowers into resin safely. This process can take from 6 to 12 weeks (not including the creation of your resin jewellery piece) Likewise we can work with dried flowers. This is available to add to you piece and is at a price of $30 preservation fee included in most of our drop down choices. The preservation is only for one or two flowers and foliage. We are unable to preserve full bouquets etc unless you work with Bouquets Forever to preserve with a purchase of their frames.
Fabrics from weddings / christenings / childhood / passed loves ones / coming home from hospital wraps etc
DNA inclusions - such things cremation ashes, PET AND CREMAINS, and locks of hair, preserved breastmilk etc.

WHAT IS THE ORDERING PROCESS FOR A MEMORIES IN THREADS PIECE?
Once you have engaged us to design a Memories in Threads piece for you we -
WORK WITH YOU VIA A ONE ON ONE CONSULT VIA EMAIL to see what the key needs of your design are, and what inclusions you are wanting to work with.
A SKETCH / IMAGES OF EXAMPLES OF COLOURS / FABRICS / RESIN COLOURANTS ETC is corresponded and confirmed with you and worked on until you are 100% happy.
ONCE THE DESIGN IS APPROVED via this process above, a CUSTOM LISTING will be set up for you on our WEBSITE. You can then purchase the listing set up from you and arrange the items we discussed in the design consult.
You then SEND TO US the items with an address personally passed on to you (custom lead times either start from the full payment received , or from the Memories in Threads items received, whichever occurs last) You will always be informed as to the lead time more accurately at the time of design so you can be sure that you know before ordering.
DO I GET TO SEE MY ITEM BEFORE IT IS FINISHED?
HOW DO I GET MY MEMORY ITEMS TO YOU?
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY REMAINING CLOTHING / FABRICS FROM A MEMORY DOLL OR DECOR PIECE?
When you place a Memory Doll or Decor piece order from us, please ensure you include 1 x SELF ADDRESSED AUSTRALIA POST SATCHEL (the same size you purchased to send to us your Memory items) WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE.
This will be used to send back to you, your remaining clothing and fabric items.This process is the most convenient and safest way for you to receive your remaining items back. Please note that this is just for your return of items. We have a separate P&H charge at checkout for the postage of your actual created Heirloom Cloth Doll or Decor piece. These are sent in different parcels to you. So 1 x parcel with return of items left (in your self addressed tracked satchel via Australia Post) and 1 x parcel with your Memory Doll or Decor piece.
Shall you not send a self addressed Australia Post satchel in the same size you sent the items to us in, we are unable to return the remaining items. You can however arrange postage via direct deposit transfer or PayPal on a separate invoice if this is forgotten at time of sending the items to us, so we can arrange to return your items to you with your created Memory Doll or Decor piece.

WHAT IS INSIDE MY HEIRLOOM CLOTH DOLL AND DECOR PIECES?
We use 100% PET fill for all of our items with fill. This is environmentally friendly by using 100% recycled materials, which also means significantly lower allergens too. By choosing this fill solution, with every 10kg bag we use, we are saving 70 plastic bottles ending up in landfill. This is important to us! Please also see our CARING FOR YOUR ITEMS page for advice on storing your item and the expected settling process of your piece.
For our Decor pieces - ie quilts - internal batting is Cotton / Bamboo approximately 2mm thick. Pillow Fill is 100% Polyester Fill.
DO YOU HAVE BRANDING ON YOUR ITEMS?
Yes we sure do, you will find a branded flag or long woven label with our logo and initials placed on each and every one of our WOVEN items. You will also find care labels attached to all Cloth Doll and Decor pieces.
HOW DO I KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR MY PIECES?
Please refer to our side bar menu page CARING FOR YOUR ITEM for all of the details and information. A brief caring for you piece card is also included in your delivery, however full care instructions you will find HERE.
HOW DO I SEND MY INCLUSIONS TO YOU?
After placing your order or paying for you custom listing, breast milk / locks of hair / ashes / flowers are easy to send to us via the mail. We will of course let you know the details within a follow up email to your email address with more detailed information. However here is a quick oversight as it is so quick and easy -
Take you Breast Milk - Ensure it is either fresh or thawed at room temp - only 10 to 20ml and place into a double lined ZIP LOCK BAG sealed with tape on both bags. Ensure no residue before sending. DO NOT SEND US FROZEN OR COLD MILK. It must be room temp.
Take your locks of hair (approx 1-2cm in width and approx 3 to 4cm in length MAX REQUIREMENT) and approx thumb nail size of ashes (if you can spare 1 teaspoon that would be ideal) and place into a double ZIP LOCK BAG sealed with tape on both bags.
Take your flower / bub / foliage and place into dry and clean paper towel and place in with shredded paper if possible.Avoid plastics directly on the flowers.
For each of the above, write your full name and order or phone number onto the zip lock bag and seal with tape on EACH of the openings to double secure and shall there be a leak it will only go into the next sealed bag. Send to us in a tracked with signature padded envelope and for the Breast Milk make sure it is bubble wrapped correctly and ensure you return address is listed on the back.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU SEND ANY INCLUSION EITHER IN A BOXED POSTAGE SOLUTION, OR WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP WITHIN THE SATCHEL OR ENVELOPE. FLOWERS ARE RECOMMENDED TO BE SENT WITHIN A BOX WITH BUBBLE WRAP BUT MAKING SURE THE DIRECT FLOWERS ARE WRAPPED IN PAPER TOWEL.
Please ensure that you are willing to part with these items, as sometimes things do occur where postage is lost etc, and we know that these items are so precious and some do not have much to work with. We implore you to consider these things prior to ordering and be prepared that this may occur in transit that is out of our control. We like to let you know - don't send what you cannot afford to loose. As these things sometimes do happen that we have no control of and we would hate for it to occur on precious items.

DO I GET MY PRESERVED BREASTMILK BACK?
We do not return any preserved breastmilk. We maintain these to allow you to future order through us - and to only have incurred one preservation fee. We are unable to post the preserved powder in this form in the mail.
