How to choose which Poppy Panel Pillow Memories Pillow suits you
Our Memories in Threads Decor Collection - including this Poppy Panelled Pillow using Memory fabrics, is one that has a multitude of options to select from.
Sometimes that is a touch confusing - especially when such precious clothing and fabrics are being used - those of loved ones.
Whether that be
PASSED LOVED ONES CLOTHING
So we have put together this guide to assist you with your decision and which option best suits you. We hope this assists answering your queries and also a guide as to how many garments are needed and the size of those garments needed. So take some time to have a read!
We have to panel sizes
You can select this to be back and front, or mix it up, or select plain on the reverse too!
Ie choose small panels on one side, large panels on the back. This can mean you get a completely reversible pillow and a different look on each side.
Step 1 - select which panel size you like for one side
Step 2 - select which panel you would like on the reverse (another paneled design or plain)
Step 3 - choose your garments
And this is where we hope this information becomes useful!
You can see this pillow lovingly created for a client - is created with the LARGE panels and PLAIN BACK. So we will use that as the first example.
This particular pillow has been created using BONDS baby onesies and a jersey baby blanket.
For the large panels you have 8 panels to fill. This can be doubled up using 4 designs or if you have more to showcase you can use 8 garments - so each panel is different.
LARGE PANEL - MIN 4 GARMENTS MAX 8 GARMENTS FEATURED ON THE LARGE PANELS.
(Double this if you are doing back and front in the large panels)
SMALL PANELS - MIN 8 GARMENTS for duplicate panels and MAX 16 GARMENTS FEATURED ON THE SMALL PANELS.
(Double this if you are doing back and front in the small panels)
SIDE PANELS - For you supplying memory fabrics you will need 1, size 0 onwards garment to do the side panels in memory fabrics. This is to allow enough fabric to go all the way around the sides.
BACK PLAIN - back panel selection the best guide to choosing something to use is taking a piece of paper and drawing a 30cm x 30cm square on it. You can then place this on the garment you would like to use as the PLAIN back. This will show you if there is enough fabric for us to work with.
For the side and plain back panels we do love using memory fabric BUT we also understand that sometimes you may not have garments big enough to use as memory fabrics - so we do have the option at cart to select us to supply a fabric to compliment your garments. This will always be decided along with yourself in a one on one consultation.
So if you would like to replicate this LARGE PANEL /PLAIN BACK style pillow you would need a total of 8 garments (size 00 onwards is perfect - but we can work with smaller shall you have those) and 2 larger garments ie size 2/3 / blanket etc for the side panel and back panel.
